Crucial Conversations

A co-worker, Vincent who is the VP of Product Mgmt at Covisint, and I were talking about 'conversations' and 'relationships' in the workplace, and he gifted me this great book 'Crucial Conversations' by Joseph Grenny, Ron McMillan, Kerry Patterson, Al Switzler.
It included a sweet message that I adore: "CEO in 10 years or less. Go Honey! - Vincent"
He gave it to in while we were in Detroit, so I read a few chapters on my plane ride back to San Francisco, and then for a week or so I read a chapter on my train commute every day. I really enjoyed reading this book because it talks about simple techniques to improve day-to-day and important conversations we have in professional and personal setting.

Dance Performance: Latin Fusion at Indian Fair Day and IFFER Mother's Day

I mentioned in an earlier post about how I got involved with moreUpbeat and the songs we started practicing. Those songs were specifically for this performance on April 24, 2016 at India Fair Day in Santa Clara. It was just a small convention with Indian clothing and jewelry booth, and lots of dance performances, music shows, and a fashion show with a celebrity. We did the two Latin Fusion songs we planned: Udi Teri and Sholon Si. We performed the same one again at IFFER Mother's Day on May 7, 2016
